Check Ups & Cleanings
We strongly recommend that patients of all ages attend two check-up appointments per year. While diligent homecare is a crucial part of preventing dental issues, there are some things that simply cannot be detected by an untrained eye. During your appointment, one of our hygienists will thoroughly remove any tartar and buildup, keeping your gums healthy and your mouth feeling refreshed. Then, one of our experienced dentists will closely inspect your teeth, gums, jaw, and other aspects of your oral health, and advise you of any treatment necessary. Once we have a complete idea of your unique needs, we can develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your smile and your budget.
Nightguards/Biteguards
Did you know that daily stress can cause teeth clenching and grinding (also known as bruxism)? Many patients aren't able to break this habit on their own because it occurs while they're asleep, leading to worn-down teeth, jaw misalignments, and other potentially painful symptoms. A nightguard can provide the protection you need. We'll customize your oral appliance so that it fits comfortably in your mouth. Oral Cancer Screenings
On average, one American dies from oral cancer every hour. This is a serious disease, and it is crucial that we catch it at the earliest stage so that treatment can be as successful as possible. During your periodic oral examination after every cleaning appointment, we inspect the soft tissue for any signs of cancer, including lumps, easily bleeding sores, color changes, and more.

Periodontal Treatment
A majority of the population suffers from some level of periodontal disease- and many do not even know! This disease is painless and subtle in its early stages. At Cohen & Cohen, we provide our patients with personalized therapy to regain periodontal health. In many cases, more frequent cleanings and home care improvements may be all that is needed to effectively treat the condition. Scaling and root planing is also available as a more in-depth treatment. This consists of our team thoroughly debriding the teeth beneath the gumline and smoothing out any rough areas that have formed on the roots. In cases beyond the scope of our team, we refer to the periodontist best-suited to the treatment of the patient and their condition.
